Training and Support Available

The University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension System will provide:

In-state
• 2 full days of PEP facilitator training for groups of educators and social service providers who agree to implement PEP at their site and complete some simple evaluation forms during the year
• Two hundred-page manual for two people at one site
• Discussion of the theoretical foundation of the program, the steps in conducting the program, the ten training sessions and followup sessions
• Training adapted to particular type of audience being served
• Participation in at least 3-5 monthly technical training/support sessions for facilitators
• E-mail and telephone support

Cost: $100.

Out-of-state
2 or more days of PEP facilitator training for groups of educators and social service providers
• Two hundred -page manual per person
• Discussion of the theoretical foundation of the program, the steps in conducting the program, the ten training sessions and followup sessions
• Training adapted to particular type of audience served
• E-mail and/or telephone support for one year
• Notification of new educational materials

Cost: a minimum of $1000 to UCONN CES, travel and lodging expenses for the educator, a charge of $45.00 per manual and miscellaneous expenses(shipping costs, etc.)
