University of ConnecticutJob Placement |
|
All faculty are willing to assist students in job placement. You will find "position announcements" posted on the George White Building bulletin boards. Many job announcements are also included in the monthly electronic newsletter that is sent to students. Developing a current resume and working with the Department of Career Services to arrange interviews with prospective employees is a component of our required Seminar class (ANSC 3194). Career Services has many other excellent resources to help students prepare for and locate employment opportunities. Their campus telephone number is 486-3013 and their office is located in the Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) building across from the library.
Students who have a satisfactory academic record, combined with a well-balanced experience base, are able to develop the most impressive resumes and secure employment. The experience base may be the result of on-campus or summer employment, Cooperative Education, Professional Internship, or extracurricular activities.
The University of Connecticut also maintains an extensive career opportunity office: Career Services
