Upon recommendation of the faculty, the degree of Bachelor of Science is awarded by vote of the Board of Trustees to students who have met the following requirements:
Plan of Study. Students are encouraged to select a major field of concentration prior to the end of their sophomore year so that a satisfactory, balanced program of study may be pursued. Each student should file an approved tentative plan of study with an academic advisor as early as possible, but in no case later than at the start of the junior year. A Final Plan of Study, approved by the major advisor and the department head, must be filed with the Degree Auditor no later than the end of the fourth week of classes of the semester in which a student expects to graduate.
Animal Science Majors must pass one Biology Course (Bio 107 or equivalent) of at least three credits with a laboratory and Chemistry 122 or 127Q or equivalent. All ANSC majors must pass all courses from Group A:

Students must meet the requirements of the Animal Science major by passing the courses listed in Group A (above) and passing at least four courses selected from Groups B and C below. These include at least one course from Group B and at least two courses from Group C and one additional course from either B or C.
Note that MCB 229 or MCB 203/204 can be substituted for only one of the Group C requirements.

1 - ANSC 223W can be taken with ANSC 222 for a "W" credit.
2 - ANSC 255W can be taken with ANSC 253 for a "W" credit.
3 - MCB 229 or MCB 203/204 can be substituted for one of the Group C requirements.
General Education Requirements: All students in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources must meet the University-wide General Education Requirements (GER) described in the General Catalog. Specific courses have been approved for GER.
