The New England Fellowship of Agricultural Adventures

The excellence of New England agriculture does not stop with its production of farm crops nor its animal breeding stock. The products of which we can be most proud are our farm men and women, particularly our farm leaders.

The New England Fellowship of Agricultural Adventurers came into being in 1953 as a means of citing leaders who have made exceptional contributions to New England agriculture. Since 1968 this program has been sponsored by Easter States Exposition. The “Fellows” are selected annually by a committee appointed by the Directors of the Exposition.

The awards are normally made for lifetime of service to agriculture rather than for a single outstanding achievement. Considerable emphasis in the selection is placed upon innovation and pioneering. Individually, members of the Fellowship have made significant contributions to the agricultural revolution that has made American agriculture the most efficient in the world. Collectively, their contribution has been enormous. Without their influence, regional, national and in some cases, world agriculture would indeed be diminished.
