Welcome to the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources. While our heritage stems from the establishment of the Storrs Agricultural School in 1881, we have evolved appropriately in a manner that allows us to connect the production of agricultural goods through to the health impacts they have on humans in a manner that is economically viable and environmentally sustainable.
Our status as a Land Grant University means that we have a responsibility to educate students, undertake research to discover new knowledge, and to engage with and advance the interests of citizen stakeholders. The College's research is coordinated through the Storrs Agricultural Experiment Station. Outreach programs are delivered through the Cooperative Extension System at eight locally based offices as well as the Storrs campus.
I am proud to be an alumnus of this College and University (B.S. Natural Resources Conservation 1982, B.S. Agriculture Education 1982) and know first-hand that our facilities and the talents of our faculty and staff ensure fulfillment of our Land Grant mission.
